All of the garden birds and other wildlife have been gearing up for spring with the mild weather recently. It's now snowing and going to get exceedingly tough for them. Please consider putting out a shallow bowl of water away from cats if you don't have a birdbath the thaw. Any food should be near to bushes so cats and birds of prey can be avoided - there's pretty grey and yellow feathers all over my lawn so sadly somebody was sparrow hawk dinner this afternoon.

We always feed the birds and still have our pond, but yes you do have to be careful as having alot of birds in the garden can also attract the cats / birds of prey . John found wings of a small bird in the garden the other day with no body

We always feed all year round.
Had a reed bunting on our feeders this morning, they only usually come into our garden when things are getting tough.

Dispite putting food and water out, birds never come in our garden. The downside of having a new built council house I suppose. All fence no garden :(
